TSUNAMI WARNING IN ALASKA AFTER 7.9 EARTHQUAKE

After an earthquake hit Alaska today a tsunami warning has taken place
since it shook the ground at a 7.9 scale by the Little Sitkin Island .

Scientist say that the tsunami had a depth of 70 miles and could produce a small
but impacting tsunami , this according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

This warning is for the Aleutian Islands and Nikolski and residents are warned
to stay away from the beach .

A town has already been evacuated (adak) with over 160 residents taking shelter
at 600 feet above sea level .
